Recursion Pharmaceuticals Adds Scientific Advisor
Salt Lake City-based Recursion Pharmaceuticals announced Friday morning that it has added Yoshua Bengio as a new scientific advisor at the company. Bengio is a research focused on neural networks and machine learning, and is a professor in the Department of Computer Science and Operations Research at the Montreal Institute for Learning Algorithms at the University of Montreal in Canada. He is also a co-founder of Element AI. Recursion Pharmaceuticals is using experimental biology, bioinformatics, and artificial intelligence to identify treatments for diseases. The company is venture backed by Felicis Ventures, Lux Capital, Obvious Ventures, Epic Ventures, Data Collective, AME Cloud Ventures, Wild Basin Investments, and others.
