Rachio Rolls Out Updated Smart Sprinkler Controller
Denver-based Rachio, which develops intelligent, Internet-connected, smart sprinkler controllers which connect to your smart phone, is announcing today that it is launching its second generation of its controllers to the market. The company, which is led by Chris Klein, said its new controllers include integration with Amazon Alexa, a more compact design, changes to allow for easier wiring, and manual controls. Rachio's controller lets users manage their sprinklers from a mobile device, and also include sensors to figure out the optimum amount of water to apply to a user's yard and lawn. The company raised $7.1M in November to expand its product, from Arborview Capital, Michigan eLab, Hallett Capital, and Miramar Digital Ventures.
