MyHeritage Debuts DNA Testing Service
Lehi, Utah- and Tel Aviv, Israel-based MyHeritage, the online family history website, said this morning that it has launched a new, genetic testing service called MyHeritage DNA. According to the company, its new DNA testing service will offer up information on a user's family history and ethnic origins, all through a home-testing kit. The testing service--which takes a standard, cheek swab to collect a user's DNA sample--provides detailed ethnicity reports that map the user’s ethnic and geographic origins, and DNA matching for finding relatives. The company said the testing kit costs $79.00 plus shipping, and that it hopes to expand the testing service with additional featuers and capabilities in the future.
