MyHeritage Adds DNA Testing
MyHeritage, the online genealogy site which acquired Provo, Utah-based FamilyLink in November, said this morning that it has added DNA testing into its list of offerings. MyHeritage said the genetic testing will allow its customers to gain access to ethnic origins, links to common ancestors, and more. The company also explained that the DNA testing can also be used to see if people with the same surname are--or aren't--actually related. MyHeritage has operations in both Provo and Tel Aviv, Israel, and is venture backed by Accel Partners and Index Ventures.
