Arrow Electronics In IoT Distribution Deal With Cypress
Centennial, Colorado-based electronics distributor Arrow Electronics said this morning that it has inked a global franchise agreement with Cypress Semiconductor, to distribute that firm's newly acquired Internet-of-Things (IoT) portfolio. Cypress recently acquired that business freom Broadcom, in a $550M transaction. Arrow said the products covered by the deal included Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and ZigBee RF technologies, as well as the newly acquired Cypress Wireless Internet Connectivity for Embedded Devices (WICED) brand.
