SimpleCitizen Heads To YCombinator
SimpleCitizen, the Utah startup which helps make the immigration process to the U.S. easier for would-be citizens, says it is headed to Silicon Valley for the summer, as one of the companies in the YCombinator incubator. The startup--led by Sam Stoddard--said it has received a small investment in the company as part of the acceptance into the incubator. SimpleCitizen will be part of the Summer 2016 Y Combinator batch. The company says it is only the fourth Utah company to participate in YCombinator in recent years. The company has previously raised funding from Kickstart Seed Fund, Peterson Partners, Pelion Venture Partners, Apple Tree Capital, and Jacob Sapochnick.
