SimpleCitizen Finds $700,000 To Streamline Becoming A US Citizen
Salt Lake City-based SimpleCitizen, a startup which is looking to smooth the way to becoming a U.S. citizen, has raised $700,000 in a seed funding round, the company said this week. The funding was led by Kickstart Seed Fund, and also included Peterson Partners, Pelion Venture Partners, Apple Tree Capital, and Jacob Sapochnick. The startup, led by Sam Stoddard, said it is providing a simple way to ease the process of getting a U.S. green card, and U.S. citizenship, helping people generate all of the paperwork required for their green card and citizenship applications. The company says its process cuts down on 90 percent of the time and money typically spent on immigration lawyers.
