Denver, Boulder Among Top Metropolitan Areas For Venture Capital
Both Denver and Boulder were among the most active metropolitan areas for venture capital investments in 2015, according to a new study released this week by the National Venture Capital Association. The two areas--which are counted as two, separate Metropolitan Statistical Areas (MSAs) by the U.S. Census--were ranked #14 (for Denver-Aurora), and #20 (for Boulder), with Denver-Aurora tallying up 41 venture investments and $540,260,200 in investments in 2015; Boulder had 27 investments, totaling $230,908,400 in funding. The study broke down investments across all 133 MSAs in the United States with venture capital investments in 2015.
