Zayo To Connect Salt Lake City, Sacramento With High Speed Fiber
Boulder-based bandwidth provider Zayo Group said today that it will be connecting the cities of Salt Lake City and Sacramento, through an extension of its long haul, dark fiber network. Zayo said the connection will add more than 800 route miles to its current network, which currently includes more than 16,000 route miles in the US and Europe. Zayo said it expects the buildout to be complete in the fourth quarter of 2015. Zayo said it specifically is looking to connect data center markets such as Salt Lake City with West Coast data center hubs.
