Vivint Buys Space Monkey
Provo, Utah-based Vivint has acquired Space Monkey, a provider of cloud-based storage, the company announced this morning. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Space Monkey uses peer-to-peer networking for its cloud storage service, and was founded in 2011. Space Monkey was based in Midvale, Utah, and was backed by Alta Ventures Mexico. Space Monkey's founders are Clint Gordon-Carroll and Alen Peacock.
