Avnet Names New Board Member
Phoenix-based electronics distributor Avent announced today that it has named a new member of its board of directors. The company said it has appointed Wiliam J. Amelio, who is CEO and President of helicopter services company CHC Group Ltd., to its board. Amelio has also served as President and CEO of Lenovo Group Limited, as well as serving at Dell; he has previously been on the board of National Semiconductor Corp.
