Gnip Acquired By Twitter
Boulder-based social data provider Gnip has been acquired by Twitter, the two said this morning. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Gnip has been a provider of social data from Twitter and other social services, for use by companies and others for analyzing social activity. Gnip said the move would give it access to resources and infrastructure to scale to the next level and offer new products and solutions. Gnip was venture backed by First Round Capital, Foundry Group, and SoftTech VC.
