Techstars: 300 Companies, $400M Raised, 27 Acquisitions
Boulder-based startup accelerator Techstars said today that the accelerator has just turned seven years old, and has now been involved in a total of 300 active companies, who have collectively raised over $400M in funding. The accelerator also said it has had 27 acquisitions since the start of the program, which helps prospective startup entrepreneurs take their companies from idea to prototype to funding through a three month program. The accelerator has now spread well beyond Boulder, to locations in London, New York City, Seattle, Austin, and beyond, and is considered one of the pioneers in developing the prototype for nearly every other accelerator program now in existence.
