Gnip Expands Sales Efforts In Japan
Gnip, the Boulder-based startup which is providing social data streams to companies, said Thursday evening that it has linked up with a Japanese company to sell its data in Japan. Gnip said that Hottolink has become its exclusive sales agent in Japan, to help provide Japanese companies with social data from Twitter, Foursquare, and WordPress. Gnip said that Hottolink had already been a strategic partner of the company since last year, and will sales process and provide support for clients in Japan. As part of the deal, Gnip has tapped into a Japanese language processing engine being provided by Hottolink, to better filter Japanese language activities for clients.
