Vivint Solar Taps Greg Butterfield As CEO
Provo, Utah-based Vivint Solar, the residential solar integration arm of Vivint, has appointed former Altiris Chairman and CEO Greg Butterfield as its new CEO. According to Vivint Solar, Butterfield is joining the company at a "critical expansion period" for the company. Butterfield was most recently a managing partner at SageCreek Partners, which provides its executive expertise and operational skills to technology companies. Butterfield led Altiris through its acquisition by Symantec in 2007. Vivint Solar said it is now the second largest U.S. residential solar installer. Vivint is owned by private equity firm Blackstone Group.
