Orbotix Looks To Hook Kids Into Sphero
It's never too young to get, and command, your own robot--or so hopes Boulder-based Orbotix, the firm behind the Sphero robotic ball. Orbotix has set up a series of events--the "Sphero Rangers"--to teach kids how to program, via the firm's highly programmable robot. The next event--which is being held Saturday in Boulder--is being held at Google's offices, and lets kids program the robotics balls using Android or iOS devices. Orbotix lets user program the device using a version of BASIC called orbBasic, or through a app called MacroLab.
