Go Daddy Buys Mobile Website Builder M.dot
Scottsdale, Arizona-based domain and web hosting giant Go Daddy said Monday afternoon that it has acquired M.dot, a developer of a mobile app which helps small businesses create their own, mobile websites from their phone. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced by the companies. M.dot was venture backed by Floodgate, SV Angel and Archimedes Labs, and was founded by Dominik Balogh and Pavel Serbajlo. As part of the acquisition, Go Daddy said it plans to double its Silicon Valley office from 40 to 80 in the next year.
