Go Daddy: Super Bowl Ad Delivered More Customers, Sales

The Super Bowl advertising from Scottsdale-based GoDaddy has once again drawn criticism and controversy, for an intense kiss between supermodel Bar Refaeli with a not-so-attractive and geeky guy who the firm "represented Go Daddy's smart side". But apparently, despite the very vocal detractors of the ad, it apparently drove record sales and customers to the website.

Go Daddy said this week that it was its "most successful" Super Bowl Sunday ever, setting records for mobile sales, Website Builders, website hosting and new customers. The firm did not release actual numbers on the sales from the ad campaign, produced by Deutsch NY.

Go Daddy is known for its often-racy and usually controversial ad campaigns during the Super Bowl.
