GoDaddy's Super Bowl Ad Firmly Shows New Small Business Focus

Scottsdale, Arizona-based GoDaddy--under new ownership--lived up to its promise of "no more risque" Super Bowl ads, showing an ad where a small business owner quit her job on national TV to start her own business--Puppets By Gwen. GoDaddy, which came to prominence in the Internet world through the use of risque and controversial ads--said in October that it would stop running risque ads in its tenth year of Super Bowl advertisements. The shift comes after the company was acquired by a group of private equity investors as as the company has increasingly focused on small business customers.
