Mersive Gets Funding From 3M
Denver-based Mersive, the developer of software which enables coordination of multiple displays, has received an equity funding from 3M's venture capital arm, 3M New Ventures. Financial deatils of the investment were not announced. 3M announced the deal yestrday, saying it has also entered into a strategic development deal with Mersive. 3M said the deal will bring a "new class of displays" aimed at visual collaboration for a broad range of customers. Mersive, which is headed by Rob Balgley, develops software which creates multi-screen video walls as well as which can take multiple projection displays and create one, seamless image.
