Boulder Ventures, Grotech Back Software Firm
Two venture capital investment firms with office in Colorado have re-upped on a developer of IT management tools. Zenoss, which develops software used to manage physical, virtual, and cloud infrastructure, said it raised $25M in a Series C round, which included both Boulder Ventures and Grotech Ventures. Boulder Ventures has, as one would expect, offices in Boulder, and Grotech has an office in Denver. Zenoss is based in Austin, Texas. The funding round was led by Summit Partners, and also included Intersouth Partners. The investment might seem far afield for the two venture firms, but it turns out that Zenoss has offices and was founded in Maryland, and both Boulder Ventures and Grotech Ventures also have satellite offices in Maryland, as well.
