Domo Taps Omniture Vet Harrington As President
Josh James, the founder of American Fork, Utah-based Domo, continues to pull together more of his former team from Omniture, saying Wednesday that Chris Harrington, his former President of Worldwide Sales and Client Services, has now joined Domo as President. Harrington also joins Domo's board. Harrington was James' "wingman", running operations for James at Omniture for eight years. Domo is the heavily backed startup which recently raised $63M in funding from such notable investors as Benchmark Capital, IVP, Andreessen Horowitz, SV Angel, and Hummer Winblad, Domo said that Harrington helped drive Omniture from $4M in revenues to more than $500M between 2002 and 2009. Domo is developing cloud-based, business intelligence software. In an amusing statement released from James, he compared Harrington's relationship with him to famous partners--saying that "Starsky and Hutch, Ponch and Jon, Laverne and Shirley, and Dirty Harry and his .44 Magnum – some pairs work really, really well together".
