Calling a recent patent infringement lawsuit "unwarranted," Boulder-based
Spectra Logic said it has filed a response to
Overland Storage's lawsuit, claiming that Overland's patent claims are "invalid" and have not been infringed on by its products. Overland sued Spectra Logic in July--along with six other tape drive manufacturers--claiming that they have all infringed on Overland's various patents. Overland Storage also sued Quantum, PivotStor, Qualstar, Tandberg Data (with operations in Westminster, Colorado), Venture Corp, and BDT Media over those same patents.
