SolidFire Lands Cloud Provider
Boulder-based SolidFire, the developer of solid state (SSD) storage, reported that it has signed Calligo, a provider of cloud services in the UK Channel Islands. SolidFire did not disclose the financial details of the win, but said that Calligo is using its SolidFire flash appliance as part of its cloud infrastructure. SolidFire has been targeting its SSD-based flash storage towards cloud-based service providers; the company is headed by Julian Box. SolidFire is venture backed by New Enterprise Associates, Valhalla Partners, and Novak Biddle Venture Partners.
