Uber Plans To Launch In Denver
Uber, the Silicon Valley, tech-savvy, town-car service which relies on a smartphone app to summon riders, is planning a launch in Denver in August, according to the Denver Business Journal. The Journal said that the venture backed service is planning to quietly launch in August. Uber is popular with the smartphone crowd, which can pull up their app and request a ride--priced depending on demand--in cities supported by the service. Uber is venture backed by Benchmark Capital, Bezos Expeditions, Goldman Sachs, Lowercase Capital, and Menlo Ventures.
