Foundry Funds Two Software Firms
Boulder-based Foundry Group, the venture capital firm led by Brad Feld, Seth Levine, Ryan McIntyre, and Jason Mendelson, has been busy. Two firms said today that Foundry played a lead role in their funding this morning. New York City-based Jirafe said it received $7M in funding for its e-commerce analytics software, led by Foundry Group and FirstMark Capital, and also including First Round Capital and O'Reilly Alphatech Ventures. San Francisco-based Pantheon, a developer of open source, content management software said it raised $5M in a first round today, also led by Foundry Group, with backing of Baseline, First Round, and Founders Collective. Seth Levin join's Jirafe's board with the funding; Ryan McIntyre led the investment in Pantheon.
