Foundry Backs K9 Ventures In LP Role
Boulder-based Foundry Ventures said on Tuesday that it has invested as a limited partner in the third fund for K9 Ventures, a venture capital investment fund focused on "pre-seed" and emerging technology. Size of the investment was not disclosed. K9 Ventures recently raised $42M in its third fund. The fund is led by Manu Kumar. Foundry Ventures--which originally started as an early stage investor itself--has in recent years branched out to making investments as a limited partner (LP) in other funds. Foundry said in 2015 that it would begin making investments as a limited partner. The new investment was led by Lindel Eakman, who Foundry Ventures brought on in 2017 to lead its LP efforts.
