Collective Intellect Acquired By Oracle
Boulder-based Collective Intellect, the developer of a cloud-based, social media monitoring and analytics service, has been acquired by Oracle, Oracle said this morning. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Collective Intellect was venture backed by Appian Ventures, Crawley Hatfield Capital, Croghan Investments, and Grotech Capital Group. The firm, which was founded by Don Springer, will be combined with Vitrue, which was also recently acquired by Oracle. Orcale said the buy will help bolster Oracle's ability to help moarketing organizations, customer service teams, and others with the Internet and social media.
