Spectranetics Looks To Venture Capitalists For Board Seat
Colorado Springs-based Spectranetics, a manufacturer of peripheral and cardiac laser catheters and other medical devices, said today that it has appointed B. Kristine Johnson, a venture capitalist at Affinity Capital Management, to its board. The publicly held firm said it tapped Ms. Johnson for her prior experience managing large corporate operating divisions within the medical device industry. Johnson was previously Chief Administrative Officer and SVP at Medtronic, where she had served or 17 years. Johnson also serves on the board of investment bank Piper Jaffray, among other positions.
