Ascent Solar Ties With Chinese Railway Firm
Thornton, Colorado-based Ascent Solar said it is in a joint development agreement with a Chinese firm and a Chinese railway design agency. Ascent Solar, which makes flexible, thin-film photovoltaic modules, said the deal comes between the firm and Shenzhen Radiant Enterprise Co., Ltd. (Radiant) and Third Railway Survey and Design Institute Group Corporation (TSDI) of China. Financial details of the win were not disclosed. The three firms said they will use Ascent's technology on the roof of existing and future railway stations in China.
