Tendril Targets Developers With Contest
Boulder-based Tendril, the developer of software for the smart grid and energy management market, is looking to court developers with a new website and contest. Tendril said it will give away $5,000 in prize money to encourage development of third party applications for the firm's platform, and has also launched a new website targeted at third party developers. Tendril said over 100 developers have already signed up to use its platform to develop applications since it opened to third party developers in August. Tendril's APIs allow developers to tap into energy data from smart thermostats, smart appliances, and other home energy devices.
