DailyBurn Shifts To Fitness Videos
DailyBurn, the online fitness community site which was acquired by IAC last year, made a big shift Monday, relaunching the site as a service to connect fitness enthusiasts with video workouts from a set of personal trainers. The firm--which originally launched in Boulder out of TechStars effort as Gyminee, before becoming DailyBurn in May of 2009--said its new site is "less about tracking every detail" of a user's fitness, and more about providing "tools" in the form of video workouts and personalized fitness plans for users. DailyBurn said it will still offer its fitness tracker, but the new site shifts the focus almost entirely towards the new, video-based workouts and premium accounts.
