Millenniata Inks Distribution Deal
Salt Lake City-based Milleniata, the developer of optical disk media formulated for permanent storage, reports today that it has inked an OEM and distribution agreement. The firm said Systor Systems will distribute the company's M-DISC products to its customers and channels. M-DISC is Milleniata's own, custom formula optical disk, which uses a technique developed at BYU to more permanently etch data into those disks. The firm's technology is an alternative to standard, optical disk technology, which is prone to data loss and has a limited lifetime. Milleniata is headed by Scott Shumway.
