SolidFire Raises $25M
Boulder-based SolidFire, a developer of solid state disk (SSD) storage systems, said Monday that it has raised $25M in a second round of funding. The round came from New Enterprise Associates, Valhalla Partners, and Novak Biddle Venture Partners, along with angels Frank Slootman Data Domain), David Schneider (Data Domain), and Greg Papadopoulos (Sun Microsystems). The firm said the funding brings its total raised to $37M. The new funds go towards sales and marketing. SolidFire is headed by Dave Wright. The firm moved to Boulder from Atlanta in May.
