Gnip Enhances Social Media Data API
Boulder-based Gnip, the developer of a service for collecting social media data for enterprise applications, said this week that it has enhanced its Twitter data offerings. According to Gnip, it has added scores from Klout, and new language filtering options for its API. Klout is a provider of "social influence" scores, which gauge how many followers and influence Twitter users have on the Internet. Gnip said the new data is available for all of its customers who are receiving premium Twitter data feeds from the company. Gnip's APIs make it easier for developers to analyze and access social media information from Facebook, Twitter, and other sites; the firm is venture backed by Foundry Group, First Round Capital and SoftTech VC. Gnip is run by Jud Valeski.
