OtterBox Gets Patent
Fort Collins-based Otterbox, the maker of ruggedized cases, reported today that it has scored a U.S. Patent. U.S. Patent No. 7,933,122 was issued Tuesday by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and named Curtis R. Richardson, Alan Morine, Brian Thomas, Jamie Lee Johnson, and Jason Michael Thompson as inventors. Richardson is Otterbox's CEO; Morine is the company's Research & Development Manager. OtterBox had filed for the patent back in October of 2008. OtterBox is a maker of rugged cases for devices from a wide range of consumer electronics manufacturers.
