MapQuest Trumpets Refresh, Hiring
Denver-based MapQuest, the online mapping site owned by AOL, said today that it is in the midst of "re-invorating" its consumer experience and is in a hiring push for the site. MapQuest said the move comes as its hits its 15th year of existence. MapQuest has been in a major rebranding and update push since July of last year, revamping and bolsterings its mapping tools to be more competitive with Google and Bing. Among those updates have been iPhone and Android applications, a new logo, multiple new features for its maps, and new, open mapping driven websites internationally.
