Limelight Gets Win In Patent Suit
Tempe, Arizona-based Limelight Networks said Monday that the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit has affirmed a favorable ruling for the firm. Limelight said that the court has granted its motion for judgment as a matter of law of noninfringement of Akamai's '703 patent, and also affirmed noninfringement of its '645, and '413 patents. Limelight has been locked in a patent battle with Akamai for over two years, and had originally been ordered to pay $45M in the lawsuit with Akamai in February of 2008.
