TechStars, the business mentoring and incubation effort run by David Cohen, said this week that it is looking for a new head of its Boston program, as existing Boston director Shawn Broderick said he was stepping down to focus on his own startup. Cohen said in a post that the group is now seeking a Managing Director for its program in Boston. Broderick had been head of the Boston program for the last two years, and will remain a mentor to the program. In a blog post, Broderick said that "something had to give" as his firm received seed funding, he began teaching a master's course at Boston University, and TechStars Boston 2011 began ramping up, on top of existing family and consulting commitments.
