Ascent Solar Inks Deal With GlobalWatt

Thornton, Colorado-based Ascent Solar Technologies, a developer of flexible thin-film solar modules, said today that it has partnreed with GLobalWatt, a manufacturer of crystalline silicon solar modules, to develop a new line of retractable solar modules. Financial details of the deal were not announced. Ascent said the two will work on a line of adaptable, retractable modules used to add extra power to existing solar applications. The new products are aimed at solar powered generators, water purifiers, and refrigeration systems.
