Aircell Settles Patent Lawsuit
Aircell, the provider of in-flight Wi-Fi which has its business aviation and part of its consumer aviation services in Broomfield, Colorado, has settled a patent lawsuit, the firm said Thursday. According to Aircell, it has settled patent litigation between the firm and Ambit Corporation, where Ambit paid an undisclosed monetary sum to Aicell, and agreed to not sue Aircell or any other of its customers in respect to in-flight communications in the future. Ambit had claimed that Aircell, as well as Delta, had infringed on its patent. Aircell said that a jury unanimously ruled in Aircell's favor in a trial in federal district court.
