Fusion-io Extends OEM Deal with HP
Salt Lake City-based Fusion-io, a developer of solid state disk drives, has extended its OEM relationship with HP, the firm said yesterday. According to Fusion-io, it will provide HP with its PCI Express-based IO Accelerators for HP's ProLiant DL and ML server line. Financial impact of the renewed OEM deal was ot disclosed. Fusion-io's products are used by HP users to accelerate the performance of their systems, by replacing the use of spinning disk drives with much faster memory-based drives from Fusion-io. The firm said the products are specifically used for I/O intensive applications and workloads, such as virtual machine deployment, financial transactions, web content serving, database, and data mining applications.
