Fusion-io Targets Workstation Market
Salt Lake City-based Fusion-io, the developer of solid state storage devices, is targeting the workstation market with a new product aimed at visual effects professionals. Fusion-io said that its new product, Fusion ioFX, is based on its Fusion ioMemory platform, and is aimed at being used in visual effects workstations. The firm said the new product accelerates video playback and rendering, video, and image editing. The new PCI Express product, which has a capacity of 420GB, lists for $2,495.
