Avnet To Buy Japanese Firm
Phoenix-based electronics distributor Avnet said this morning that it is looking to acquire Unidux, a Japanese electronic components distributor. Avnet said that Unidux had 2009 revenues of approximately $370M. Financial terms of the acquisition effort were not disclosed. Unidux services Japanese original equipment manufacturers, providing electronic components from such firms as Intel, Micron, OKI, Aptina, and Littlefuse, and has approximately 275 employees.
