Avnet Buys Ascendant Technology
Phoenix-based Avnet said Monday that it has agreed to buy IT consulting firm Ascendant Technology, which has operations in North America, Europe, Brazil, and India. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Avnet said
that Ascendant becomes part of its Avnet Technology Solutions unit. Avnet also said that Ascendant had revenues of approximately $90M in the 2011 calendar year, and was founded in 2003.
