IHS Buys Canadian Firm
Englewood, Colorado-based IHS, a publisher of research, data, and software, said today that it has acquired LogTech (Canda) Ltd., a developer of software and services for the petroleum industry. The deal was worth CA$3.3M. The firm said the buy would increase its Canadian well log coverage and expand its offerings across its markets. LogTech (Canada) Ltd. provides services, data, and software used by the oil and gas industry to manage oil exploration and drilling. LogTech was founded in 1997, and is based in Calgary.
