Avnet to Bump Gallagher to Global President
Phoenix-based electronics distributor Avnet Inc. reported Monday that it has promoted Philip Gallagher as global president of Avnet Technology Solutions, Avnet's international sales and marketing arm. Avnet said Gallagher's promotion will take effect March 2. The company added that he will report to Rick Hamada, chief operating officer, and that he succeeds John Paget. According to Avnet, Gallagher has spent 26 years with the company and has served as president of Avnet Electronics Marketing's Americas division since 2004. Before that, Avnet noted, Gallagher worked as senior vice president of global business development for Avnet Electronics Marketing.
