LifeLock Lands Office Depot
Tempe, Ariz.-based LifeLock revealed Monday that it has signed a retail distribution deal with Office Depot. According to LifeLock, Office Depot began selling LifeLock's Identity Theft Protection Starter Kit on Sept. 22 at its stores throughout the country. The kit retails for $9.99 and includes a 60-day trial of LifeLock's identity theft protection services. The kit also includes a DVD tutorial, which gives tips on how to avoid identity theft while also introducing consumers to LifeLock's protection services. Founded in 2005, LifeLock is a privately held company backed by Goldman Sachs, Bessemer Venture Partners and Kleiner Perkins Caulfield and Byers.
