Amazon.com Expands In Arizona
Online retailer Amazon.com said Wednesday that it is expanding its operations in Arizona, and plans to open a new fulfillment center in Goodyear, Arizona in the third quarter of 2008. Amazon.com said the new facility will create more than 600 full time positions this year, with an additional 700 temporary positions in Arizona during the 2008 holiday season. The facility is the second for Amazon.com in Arizona, where it also operates a Phoenix fulfillment center. The new facility will be more than 500,000 square feet.
