Louisville, Colorado-based telecommunications provider Zayo Bandwidth, a part of the Zayo Group, said Thursday that it has selected Infinera to expand its coverage into the Chicago, New York, and Washington DC markets. Financial impact of the deal was not disclosed. Zayo said that it will use Infinera's systems in the northeastern corridor from New York to Washington, DC and to connect Chicago to the east coast. Zayo Bandwidth has raised more than $340M in private equity and debt for its regional fiber-based telecommunications network.
